We’re delighted to announce we have been awarded funding from Esmée Fairbairn Foundation and Fredericks Foundation. £585,000 from Esmée Fairbairn Foundation and £50,000 from the Fredericks Foundation will support the next stage of development for Juno as we are getting ready to open our third and fourth homes – Juno New Brighton and Juno Runcorn.
Sophie Clarke, Managing Director at Juno said: “We’re really pleased to be a part of the community of organisations that these Foundations back, collectively achieving brilliant outcomes for children in care and care leavers.
Social investment is vital for our growth as an organisation in setting up not-for-profit homes in the Liverpool city region – without it, Juno is just a nice idea. We’re pleased to continue our journey in providing more high-quality residential care placements for children in the region.
Tom Colborne, Social Investment Portfolio Manager, at Esmée Fairbairn Foundation said:
“We’re excited by Juno’s residential care model for children, which has been co-designed with care experienced young people and Liverpool City Region Commissioners. It aims to build the wellbeing, skills and relationships of young people so they can thrive, whilst also ensuring children in and around Liverpool are able to stay closer to their communities, schools and loved ones. Juno’s not-for-profit model will reinvest future surpluses into early support for families to reduce the future number of children needing care. We think it can demonstrate a sustainable outcomes-focussed alternative and has the potential to be transformative in creating the change needed for children and young people.”
